Brochures 'still important' for guest house marketing
Printed brochures and flyers are an essential tool for guest houses, one expert has suggested.
The importance of printed brochures and flyers in marketing guest houses is immeasurable.
That is the view of Susan Ira, who, in an article for Travel Wires, suggested printed brochures are one of the most effective forms of advertising.
"Printed materials are also good references for prospect clients. With a copy in hand, they can simply compare your services to other guest house competitors in the same area," she added.
Ms Ira explained brochures should include as much information about the accommodation as possible.
The writer noted colourful, high-quality, eye-catching flyers will stand out and are more likely to make prospective customers remember details of the guest house.
A recent report by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) revealed printed booklets and flyers help UK companies to generate approximately ?205 billion every year.
Executive director of the DMA Chris Combermale stated the figures are proof the medium has "consistently" provided sales for businesses despite the economic turmoil.
