Business card printing 'should be done in advance of events'
Those attending networking events should make sure they are prepared with printed business cards, it has been claimed.
People attending trade shows ought to ensure their business card printing is planned months in advance, according to one expert.
Scott Lorenz, president of Westwind Communications, said such events are important for marketing because they are a place where potential buyers come together for a shared interest.
In order to convert attendees into new customers, people should be prepared with all the necessary materials, such as cards and brochures, as last-minute printing adds unnecessary costs, he explained.
Business people should also arrive early and ensure they give away something useful at their trade stand, so their firm will be remembered, Mr Lorenz continued.
He stated it is very important individuals follow up new contacts after the event with an email or by sending them a brochure and if appropriate, they can phone them a few days later.
Mr Lorenz's comments follow those recently made by an individual writing for Fox Business, who observed exchanging printed business cards at networking events continues to be an important way of making face-to-face connections with customers.
