Business card printing to continue to thrive?
It is unlikely digital devices will ever replace business cards, according to one individual.
Business card printing is likely to remain popular for the foreseeable future, if comments from one individual are anything to go by.
Writing on a blog named Hydraponion, technology journalist Ian Grayson stated business cards continue to be widely used in spite of various attempts to digitalise the process of networking.
"I find it interesting that technology has revolutionised most aspects of working life apart from one - the business card," he commented.
iPhone applications such as Bump - which allows two people to exchange contact information by touching their handsets together - are unlikely to take off in the corporate world, Mr Grayson said.
He noted business cards continue to be carried around by individuals and swapped as a way of formal introduction at functions such as meetings.
And companies looking to use the services of business card printers may wish to heed the advice of Louise Hodge, managing director of Fidelity, who recently suggested firms should invest in quality cards in order to attract potential clients.
