Individuals who want to improve their networking skills may want to enlist the services of business card printers.
According to one expert, having a plentiful supply of business cards is a key part of meeting people at industry conferences, the EUcommerz reports.
Stewart Townsend of Oracle urged those attending such events not to forget a supply of business cards, but noted simply moving around the room handing out the items is not effective.
"Don't just exchange business cards but remember key information and note it down, such as children, birthdays and hobbies," he was quoted by the news source as saying.
Mr Townsend also stressed the importance of keeping business cards up to date and offered some other networking tips, such as listening intently and maintaining eye contact when having a conversation.
Mike Bova of M3P Media recently spoke of the benefits of seeking professional help when designing new business cards, telling the Madison County Courier the results will be worth the financial outlay.
