Cheap flyers may be used by Green Party in new climate change campaign
The Green Party is launching an initiative called The New Home Front.
The Green Party may wish to use promotional methods such as cheap flyers in order to raise awareness of its latest initiative in the fight against climate change - The New Home Front.
In a blog post for the Guardian, party leader Caroline Lucas said the campaign examines the wartime experiences of those on the home front in Britain and the ways these can be used to deal with the imminent resources crisis global warming will bring.
As part of this drive, the public are being invited to design an environmental poster inspired by wartime propaganda.
"Wartime slogans such as 'Is your journey really necessary?' remain relevant today when so much business travel could be replaced by video conferencing," Ms Lucas argued.
And John Lewis may also be considering enlisting the help of flyer printers, after the department store announced last week it is opening a beauty spa in its Reading and Cheadle shops later this year.
