Firms using business card printing services 'need to get text size correct'
One writer has urged companies not to use text that is too small when they are designing business cards, as recipients may find it difficult to read.
Using the wrong size characters in text is one common mistake made by businesses utilising the services of business card printers.
This is the view of C V Rajan, who noted in an article for Helium that while many firms give their name and logo prominence on the card, they often give little consideration to the size of the remaining information.
Addresses, phone numbers and other contact information can be printed in text that is too small to be easily legible, he warned, noting companies need to give some thought to the age of the recipient when they design the item.
"Many decision makers may be managers in their forties and at their age, their eye vision may not be impeccable," he observed.
Leah Delaney, writing for Lon's Article Directory, recently emphasised the importance of including both basic contact information and unique offers such as free trials on business cards in order to maximise the marketing potential of the items.
