Flyer printers may be affected by approval of Postal Services Bill
MPs have moved the privatisation of Royal Mail one step closer.
In a move that may affect flyer printers, MPs have brought the privatisation of Royal Mail one step closer by approving the Postal Services Bill.
The legislation allows for up to 90 per cent of the postal operator to be sold to private investors, while ten per cent of shares will be given to its employees and the Post Office network will remain in the public sector.
Business secretary Vince Cable said since coming to office in May, the coalition "realised it had to move swiftly to tackle the challenges facing Royal Mail and the Post Office to ensure the future of the important services they both provide".
He added the government is determined to secure the prospects of the two companies.
Royal Mail recently launched a new online tool named Door to Door Response that aims to improve the targeting and effectiveness of unaddressed matketing campaigns, according to Marketing Week.
