Greeting card printing 'has been strengthened by the digital world'
There continues to be a strong demand for greeting card printing, it has been suggested.
There is still a strong demand for greeting card printing, despite the rise of digital media, one writer has suggested.
The author of an article for Rivertowns Patch stated although the internet has eliminated many needs for paper, it "has only strengthened the wonderfully textured world of stationery".
It may be beneficial to save paper by using email and reducing office printouts, "but when it comes to actual stationery and cards, I do not want to go digital", the contributor continued.
Darci DeMatteo, a stationery shop owner, agreed, noting paper products have to be touched and felt, an experience that cannot be had online.
The columnist added handwritten cards and invitations are irreplaceable because of their uniqueness.
Recently, Wedding Paper Divas proposed printed stationery will become more artistic experimental next year, predicting couples who get married in 2011 will be opting for invitations that incorporate rich cultural motifs and bold colours.
