Cheap flyers could soon by used by Holiday Inn for an offer tying in with the 2012 Olympics.
Holiday Inn may wish to use cheap flyers to advertise its new Olympics price promotion.
According to Marketing Week, people will be able to book a room with the hotel chain for ?20.12 on December 20th.
Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express - which belong to parent company InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) - are Tier Three sponsors of the London 2012 Games and have a number of athlete ambassadors, such as Denise Lewis.
The brands were relaunched earlier this year with a ?650 million investment and a global marketing campaign costing ?65 million.
While IHG is increasing spend on promotional activities - which could include cheap flyers - Premier Foods is attempting to reduce its debt by focusing its budget on fewer brands.
The publication recently reported the owner of Bisto, Mr Kipling and Hovis is implementing the move as part of its turnaround marketing strategy under new marketing director Jon Goldstone.
