London exhibition to offer inspiration to poster designers?

The collection of posters designed for the Olympic Games dates back to 1912.

A new exhibition taking place in London could offer inspiration to those who are currently making use of poster printing services to produce new promotional materials for their company.

A range of posters designed for the Olympic Games has gone on show at the Europa Gallery in Sutton Central Library and councillor Graham Tope was quoted by the Independent as saying the collection will leave visitors feeling "inspired".

"Even people not normally interested in sport will enjoy the exhibition," he stated.

Included in the collection is a poster that dates back to the 1912 Stockholm Olympics and the London Evening Standard reports some of the work on show was designed by Andy Warhol and David Hockney.

The posters, which were recently displayed in Beijing, will be on display until October 21st.

Lynne Saarte of PromotionWorld recently suggested those who are using the services offered by poster printing companies should make sure they get the items produced in colour, as black and white designs usually go unnoticed.
