Printed brochures 'are still effective'
Printed brochures remain an ideal way of advertising and are popular in the travel industry, it has been suggested.
Printed brochures are still an effective form of marketing in the travel industry, despite the growth of the internet.
This is the view of Patrick Fearn, president of US firm Certified Folder Display Service, who told the North County Times the items have a number of advantages over the web for companies operating in the travel and tourism sector.
"Brochures are a very targeted way to reach travellers," he remarked, citing research that showed 40 per cent of visitors are influenced by printed brochures and tourist maps when they make unplanned stops while on the road.
"They're a very innocuous form of advertising," he continued, adding the print industry is "still very effective for brochures".
Companies considering using printed brochures to promote their products or services should give thought to the logo they use on the items, as Leah Delaney, the author of a piece published on Lon's Article Directory, warned an unprofessional logo will create a negative impression among recipients.
