Printed stationery to see rise in sales?
Printed stationery is becoming increasingly popular, it has been suggested.
Despite the rise of iPads and blogs in today's digital age, printed stationery could see a boost in sales due to an increase in the popularity of handwritten notes.
The Daily Telegraph reports handwriting is a trend that makes sense in the current economic climate, as it is cheap and cannot be lost by the crashing of a computer.
In a period of digital communications, "the simplicity of pen and paper suddenly commands a timeless attraction", the news source remarked.
It noted boutique stationers are thriving and ancient methods of communication are "current like never before".
Stuart Kirby of the British firm Jottrr explained writing in a notebook is very different to typing on a screen, because it gives one the opportunity to amend and review what they have written.
Furthermore, Wedding Paper Divas recently suggested printed stationery will become more artistic next year, with there being a rising trend for more experimental designs in invitations and thank you cards.
