UK printers could benefit from new Kodak equipment
The Kodak Nexpress SX Digital Production Colour Platform has been designed for professional printers.
UK printing firms looking to keep abreast with new technologies may be interested in Kodak's new machine.
The Nexpress SX Digital Production Colour Platform has been designed to meet the needs of professional printers and features a longer sheet size, smaller ink particles and a matte-effect option.
Kodak claims the 26-inch sheet function reduces waste and increases productivity, while allowing companies to produce additional goods such as six-page brochures and posters.
Stephen Fletcher, general manager of Electrophotographic Printing Solutions at the company, said: "The new features of the SX will open even more doors for [firms'] growth."
According to Kodak, the smaller ink particles used by the machine will reduce grain, use less ink and provide smoother tones.
UK printers may also be interested in the Hewlett Packard (HP) Designjet Z6200 Photo Printer, which was unveiled last month and is claimed to be the "world's fastest, professional-quality large-format photo printer in its price class" by HP.
