UK printers could benefit from a new generation of production presses released by Canon.

UK printers could be set to benefit from the new generation of production presses released by US manufacturer Canon.

The company - which is one of the leaders in the sector - has announced the introduction to the market of its new flagship colour production presses, the Canon imagePRESS C7010VP, C6010VP and C6010.

These new devices were developed in direct response to feedback from UK printers and other businesses that can benefit from such presses.

Sam Yoshida, vice-president and general manager of the company, explained: "Canon has invested three years of product research and development, incorporating significant customer input and feedback to improve the platform and deliver greater performance."

Meanwhile, Epson has claimed its new UK printer range offers convenient solutions for small and home-based businesses looking for speedy, yet cost-effective, functions from their printing devices.

Rodrigo Catalan, product manager of the company's Business Ink Jets division, said the UK printers offer a professional output at an affordable price.
