Using quality business card printers 'makes commercial sense'
Cheap business card printing discourages customers, a new survey has found.
It pays to invest in good-quality business card printing, new research has suggested.
The study carried out by Fidelity found self-printed or low-standard cards would discourage two-thirds of potential customers from using a company's services.
Louise Hodge, managing director at the firm and a small business marketing expert, said it is understandable emerging organisations are trying to cut costs in today's difficult economic climate.
"But unfortunately, they seem to skimp on the most important areas - like business cards - first," she remarked.
Ms Hodge stated the survey shows reducing marketing budgets does not always make commercial sense, because companies "still need to attract clients".
Firms may also wish to prioritise funding for promotional materials such as business cards due to recent comments from Michael Rosenwald in the Washington Post.
The writer highlighted the popularity of the items in the face of the digital revolution, adding they continue to thrive because they feel more intimate than iPhone networking apps.
